Apparently \u201cbecause of woke,\u201d<\/span> disparaging a whole community of people based on their nationality and using that sentiment to justify extensive fraud investigations that lead to cutting social services and occupying cities with federal agents is racist.<\/p>

\u201cYou\u2019re not allowed to complain about Somalians because that\u2019s racist,\u201d President Donald Trump\u2019s administrator for Medicare and Medicaid, Dr. Mehmet Oz, complained on Tuesday on Fox News. \u201cAnd the worst thing you can be in Minnesota is a racist.\u201d<\/p>\n

He added that the state\u2019s supposed response \u201cwas ironic because the people you\u2019re hurting are often Somalians and other folks that look different than you.\u201d<\/p>

In other words, a guy who is implementing racist policies is decrying racism.<\/p>\n

Just before, Oz claimed that investigators told him they were \u201costracized\u201d and \u201cwalked out of the building\u201d when they tried to speak to Minnesota officials about alleged fraud in social programs.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Two things here: One, the Trump administration is hurting Somalians and \u201cother folks that look different than you\u201d the most, as several of my colleagues and I have reported amid the federal raids in Minnesota. Second, there seems to be an acknowledgement that the people who have the authority to hold others accountable all look the same<\/em>.<\/p>
